The "New iPad" backlash
Apple released their "New iPad" on March the 16th 2012 earlier this month to rave reviews, mainly because of the higher resolution, but increaslingly there is starting to be some rumors of discontent among the media and the failthful Apple community.
So is the Ipad 3 that much better than the iPad 2?, lets compare
Lets look at the pros and cons of the iPad 3 (New iPad) over the iPad 2

People cant see the difference bwtween the iPad 3 display and the iPad 2, this is becasue there are no apps that properly take advantage of the new iPads huge resolution. iPad 2 WINS (FOR NOW)

Regardless of the lack of HD apps, Moves just dont look that better on a 9.7 ionch screen, a 720p movie looks the same as a 1080p on a 9 inch screen, IMO this is true Ipad 2 WINS

The iPad 3 has worse battery life than the iPad 2, yes this is true but it has LTE so this is too close to call,

Ipad 3 is heavier than an iPad 2, true so iPad 2 wins WINS

Ipad 2 is 100 bucks cheaper than the iPad 3, TRUE iPad 2 WINS

There are reports that the iPad 3 is running HOT, this is true but its not so hot, not as hot as a macbook pro so, I dont this its a big issue, NO WINNER

Ipad 3 has worse WIFI than the iPad 2, well I have not noticed this, so we will have to wait and see if this is true or not NO WINNER

iPad 3 Apps take up much more space, true but they look better, or do they?, ipad 2 WINS

iPad 2 is thinner than the iPad 3, true, iPad 2 WINS

New iPad is a stupid name, true IMO, iPad 2 WINS
So which should you buy?, well the iPad 3 is future proof (for 1 year), I have no doubt there will be killer apps that will be a must have for the iPad 3, but with the price difference and the longer battery life, and if you just watch 720P movies, then the iPad is the clear choice.
Having said all that I bought an iPad 3, and its brilliant, so go to an Apple store and decide for yourself
